2. Data We Process (Categories)

We process the following categories of personal data:

Account Data (via Google OAuth): Name, Surname, Email address, and Profile picture.
Contact Data (via Contact Form): Name, Email, Phone number (if provided), and the content of your message.
Usage Data: Data collected via Google Analytics regarding your use of the application and website (e.g., duration of stay, pages viewed, device information).

3. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your data for the following purposes and under the following legal bases:

Legal Basis: Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b))

Responding to Inquiries

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest of the Administrator (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to communicate with potential and existing clients.

Analytics and Service Improvement

Legal Basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – for placing analytical cookies (see Section 6). Processing data collected is based on Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to analyze usage for service optimization.

Billing and Accounting

Legal Basis: Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) – for fulfilling tax and accounting duties under EU law.

4. Data Sharing and Data Recipients

We do not sell personal data. However, for the functioning of the App and Service, data is shared with the following categories of recipients (Processors):

Hosting/Database Provider: Neon DB (for secure data storage).
Analytics Provider: Google LLC (for Google Analytics).
Payment Processor: Stripe (for handling subscription payments—we do not store payment card numbers).

Transfer of Data Outside the EEA: Since we use Google Analytics, your data may be transferred to the United States (a country outside the European Economic Area - EEA). The transfer is secured by implementing Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission, which provide adequate protection for your personal data.

Smart Caliper App uses cookies:

Necessary Cookies: Required for the application's core functions (e.g., maintaining the logged-in session). These do not require user consent.
Analytical Cookies (via Google Analytics): Used to collect Usage Data to improve the Service. These cookies require your explicit consent before they are placed on your device, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive.
